Job Description:

• Outline and cut patterns
• Trim, dress and finish boots or shoes: grind/mould custom orthotics
• Select materials and patterns, and trace patterns onto materials to be cut out
• Adhere cover materials to custom orthotics
• Finish/polish custom orthotics
• Inspect articles for defects, and remove damaged or worn parts, using hand tools.

Requirements:

-Education: Some secondary education is required

-Experience: Experience as a shoemaker is a strong asset.On-the-job training will be provided.

-Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods

-Personal Suitability: Initiative, Accurate, Team player, Organized

-Area of Specialization: Orthopedic footwear

-Language: English is required

Salary: $17.50 per hour, 40 hours per week.

Benefits: Bonus, Health care plan. Transportation costs covered if the worker needs to relocate.

Important information: The regular schedule will be from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM from Monday to Friday.
