Type of Employment: Full time – Permanent
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Job duties:
-Prepare and cook full course meals
-Prepare and cook individual dishes and foods
-Plan menus
-Ensure quality of food and determine size of food proportions
-Work with minimal supervision
-Estimate food requirements and costs
-Inspect kitchens and food service areas
-Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
-Order supplies and equipment
-Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
-Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
-Work with specialized cooking equipment (deep fryer, etc.)
-Clean kitchen and work areas
-Wash dishes
Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Experience: At least 3 years of experience OR if candidate does not have 3 years of experience a cooking post-secondary certificate is required
Other: Position will have to deal with high volume and requires high paced char-broiler skills. Position requires extended work hours and flexibility in scheduling; including evening or weekend hours as needed
Salary: $14.00 to $15.50 hourly, 40.00 hours per week
