Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of previous experience in food preparation or food service required, including bakery experience and/or certificates or training seminars in bread/ pastry, production.

Personal Suitability: Dependability, team player, reliability

Specific Skills: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders; Bake mixed dough and batters; Prepare special orders; Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods; Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards

Additional Skills: Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies

Work Setting: Bakery department of Grocery Store

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment; Repetitive tasks; Physically demanding; Attention to detail; Standing for extended periods in warm and sometimes noisy settings; Using sharp kitchen supplies and appliances; working with hot substances.
