The Lone Haranguer will now make her political arguments from a higher perch.
Longtime civic politician, civil servant, community activist and historian, Margaret Heath (McLaughlin) died Sunday afternoon from complications after battling pneumonia.
She was 84.
Longtime friend and political cohort, who spent many terms with Heath on Grande Prairie council and various boards and charities, Helen Rice, says her passing leaves a huge void.
“There was no one like her; she had a zest for life, no fear to try anything, always willing to take a stand and bring a voice. She was one of a kind.”
