Pro lacrosse players visiting local First Nations – AB Daily Herald Tribune

The Grande Prairie Lacrosse Association (GPLA) has teamed up with the Alberta Lacrosse Association (ALA) to grow the game of lacrosse in northern Alberta’s First Nations communities.
Ron Regnier, vice-president of the GPLA, said Jeremy Thompson, professional lacrosse player with the National Lacrosse League’s Edmonton Rush, and Andrew McBride, captain of the Calgary Roughnecks and technical director of the ALA, will be visiting local schools and the Sturgeon Lake and Horse Lake First Nation community on April 13-15.
“They’re going to come out and discuss lacrosse’s rich heritage amongst the First Nations,” said Regnier.
