Premier Prentice issued the following statement:

“I was made aware this morning that legal proceedings have commenced between Jonathan Denis and his estranged wife.

“Given the involvement of the courts, I have asked for and received the resignation of the Minister of Justice and Solicitor General.

“Minister Verlyn Olson will step in as Acting Minister of Justice and Solicitor General for the time being.”
