Cree singer-songwriter Walter MacDonald White Bear and cultural facilitator Russ Baker to lead sessions.
In celebration of National Indigenous Peoples Day on Saturday, June 21, the Sheep River Library is inviting the community of Diamond Valley to join a vibrant and family-friendly event that honours the rich histories, cultures and traditions of Indigenous people in Canada.
Held at the Sheep River Library and Flare ‘n Derrick Community Hall, the event is billed as a heartfelt celebration of community, reconciliation and cultural connection.
The day will begin with a presentation by renowned Cree singer-songwriter, educator and motivational speaker Walter MacDonald White Bear, who will share his music and stories in a one-hour interactive session designed to spark awareness, dialogue and understanding.
