Minister Ceci seeking input for Budget 2015 and Budget 2016
Starting Thursday, July 30, Albertans can visit the budget website (budget.alberta.ca) to provide ideas and comments for both Budget 2015 and Budget 2016.
Submissions will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. MST on Monday, September 14.
Also, throughout August and September, Finance Minister Joe Ceci will be meeting with businesses, organizations and stakeholders to discuss how to innovate and diversify the economy, and protect important public services. Cabinet members will also be meeting with a cross-section of stakeholders, including agriculture, forestry, oil and gas, the non-profit sector and Aboriginal leaders to gather feedback on the upcoming budgets.
“I want to hear Albertans’ thoughts and ideas on how the government can improve their quality of life and build our economy. These discussions will help outline both this year’s and next year’s budgets to better reflect the priorities of all Albertans as we move forward.”
Joe Ceci, President of Treasury Board and Minister of Finance
Albertans will have a chance to speak directly to Minister Ceci in two telephone town halls, to be held in early September. Details on the telephone town halls will be released closer to September.
