Legacy Park Family Festival is Back!
The City of Fort Saskatchewan is happy to announce that the Legacy Park Family Festival sponsored by Keyera is returning to a live and in-person event format on June 4, 2022. After two years of providing a fun and interactive virtual event the festival returns with some of the local’s favourite activities and some new twists.
The Legacy Park Family Festival sponsored by Keyera intends to provide City of Fort Saskatchewan residents an opportunity to kick off the summer season with food, entertainment, community groups, fun activities and of course…our sheep!
Festival go’ers can interact with farm animals, jump around in the inflatables and on trampolines, receive a custom caricature print, play some of their favourite video games, have their faces painted or accessorize with some glitter tattoos. In addition, a handful of local community groups will be providing activities for residents to partake in. Remember to pick up your $2 wristband in order to enjoy all of the fun activities.
The stage entertainment is as diverse as it’s ever been. Festival attendees can enjoy the musical talents of Phyllis Sinclair, a local Indigenous artist, an afro dance session taught by the Fort Black Society, a family friendly drag show, the dancing talents of Dance Moves III, toe tapping music from the Wild Rose Old Time Fiddlers, and the vocal precision of some of our young local talent.
Let’s not forget our sheep are back!!! The sheep are set to arrive at noon so that we can all give them the proper home coming reception they deserve before they settle in for the season.
In addition, the Yellowhead Rail Club will open up their doors at the CN Station so that guests can view Fort Saskatchewan’s model train display.
A special thank you to our sponsor Keyera who has supported this event for over 25 years.
The Legacy Park Family Festival sponsored by Keyera will run from 11 am to 4 pm on Saturday, June 4, 2022 in Legacy Park which is located off of 101 Street and 100 Avenue. For more information on the festival and Sheep Returning Parade, visit fortsask.ca/familyfestival
