Grande Prairie RCMP request assistance in locating male missing since 2000

Grande Prairie, Alta. (Jan. 26, 2016) – Grande Prairie RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance to locate a missing 80-year-old male.

Raymond Alec Chalifoux was reported missing on Dec. 26, 2000. Chalifoux was last seen near the former York Hotel in Grande Prairie, Alta. on Dec. 20,2000. He was operating a trap line south of Grande Prairie at the time.

Chalifoux is described as:

  • First Nations
  • Gray hair
  • Brown eyes
  • 180 lbs
  • 5′ 8″
  • Known to walk with a noticeable limp

He was last seen wearing:

  • Long brown jacket
  • Grey fur hat
  • Brown boots

The investigation into Chalifoux’s disappearance has been ongoing for 15 years. The RCMP General Investigation Section continues to search for Chalifoux and asks that if you have any information about this or any other investigation(s), please call the Grande Prairie RCMP Detachment at 780-830-5701.
