Enform and OSSA announce agreement to merge into one safety association
September 9, 2015
The Boards of Directors of Enform Canada and the Oil Sands Safety Association (OSSA) today jointly announced the two industry associations have agreed in principle to merge into one safety association.
The two organizations will establish a joint committee to address the details of a proposed merger. Final approval and execution of an agreement is expected in late 2015 with the closing of an agreement expected in late 2015 or early 2016.
As a national association Enform supports and promotes the highest safety standards across all of Canada’s upstream oil and gas industry through innovative training, certifications, services and resources. We work with our clients and partners to ensure that everyone goes home safely every day.
The Oil Sands Safety Association (OSSA) is a non-profit organization made up of representatives from Canadian Natural Resources, Shell Canada, Suncor Energy and Syncrude Canada, as well as volunteer members from labor providers, union, area contractors and learning providers. The OSSA’s objective is to bring together the regional stakeholders to identify, develop and implement strategies and tools for the purpose of creating “an incident free workforce”.
