by ahnationtalk on December 16, 2021281 Views

This New Year’s Eve, welcome in 2022 with fireworks. Everyone is invited to celebrate by watching the livestream of a midnight fireworks show over the Calgary Tower at Calgary.ca/NYE, with a synchronized CJSW 90.9 FM music soundtrack.

“After last year’s fireworks cancellation, we’re thrilled to have the dazzling fireworks show return to ring in 2022,” says Mayor Jyoti Gondek. “Fireworks on New Year’s Eve lift our spirits and are also a symbolic reminder that brighter days are on the horizon. I invite you to join in the joy by tuning into CJSW 90.9 FM for their synchronized music soundtrack to the show.”

The livestream will feature a blessing from a local Indigenous Elder as well as a countdown to midnight with Mayor Gondek. The music soundtrack, curated by CJSW 90.9 FM will feature music from Lodgepole Kind, Thomas Thomas and Moonrunner83. We recommend tuning in at 11:55 p.m.
