Editor’s Note: There is a video associated with this press release.

Albertans can now get a better understanding of their electricity bill thanks to ATCO Electric’s new online video Shedding Light On Your Electricity Bill. The engaging and educational video launched today on walks viewers through the main components that make up their bill.

“Our industry can be confusing and a lengthy explanation often frustrates rather than informs,” said Bobbi Lambright, President, ATCO Electric Distribution Division. “Our goal with this initiative is to provide clear, consistent information on how different electricity services come together on the bill.”

ATCO Electric developed this initiative because, while electricity bills are sent to customers by their retailer, ATCO Electric’s delivery rates are included on the bill. Customers in ATCO Electric’s service territory often ask staff to help them make sense of the different charges.

The video will also be promoted through various social media channels, including ATCO Electric’s Twitter account: @ATCOElectric. Check out the video today to learn more about electricity bills and the value ATCO Electric customers receive.

ATCO Electric provides safe, reliable delivery of electricity to nearly 220,000 customers in 245 communities across Alberta and is part of the ATCO Group of Companies. With more than 9,000 employees and assets of approximately $18 billion, ATCO is a diversified global corporation delivering service excellence and innovative business solutions through leading companies engaged in Structures & Logistics (manufacturing, logistics and noise abatement), Utilities (pipelines, natural gas and electricity transmission and distribution) and Energy (power generation and sales, industrial water infrastructure, natural gas gathering, processing, storage and liquids extraction).
