Assembly of First Nations National Chief to Participate at International Cooperation Days 2015 Conference “Universal Goals, Canadian Challenges”: Will Speak at Closing Plenary “Leaving No One Behind: Indigenous Perspectives on the Sustainable Development Goals”

(Ottawa, ON) – Assembly of First Nations (AFN) National Chief Perry Bellegarde will be at the Palais des Congrès in Gatineau (QC) on Thursday May 14th to participate in the session “Leaving No One Behind: Indigenous Perspectives on the Sustainable Development Goals” at the International Cooperation Days 2015 conference. The National Chief will speak to the work required in Canada to ensure the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals are fully realized and achieved.  He will deliver a keynote speech along with Edwin Vasquez, General Coordinator of the Indigenous Organizations of the Amazon Basin.

International Cooperation Days 2015: Universal Goals, Canadian Challenges, is co-hosted by the Canadian Council for International Co-operation (CCIC) and the Canadian Association of International Development Professionals (CAIDP).  The conference is taking place May 12 to 14 at the Palais des Congrès in Gatineau (QC).  More information on the conference is available at: http://www.icd-jci.ca/
