Position: Wholesale Buyer

Wages: CAD$36.00/hour

Types: Full-time, Permanent

Working hours: 30- 40 hours/week

Benefits:  4% of vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Select and purchase products from vendors to supply to various retail or wholesale establishments for resale;
• Review establishments’ requirements to choose products that best fit and determine quantity and type of products to purchase;
• Study market trends to adopt to customer attitudes and wants for future product;
• Negotiate pricing and terms with the suppliers to reach an agreement that includes discounts for volume orders, shipping terms and other reasonable costs within the company’s budget;
• Interview suppliers, establish and maintain contacts with suppliers;
• Oversea distribution of merchandise to wholesalers/retailers and maintain adequate stock levels.

Job Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school;
• 2-3 years of work experience in retail or wholesale establishments;
• A university degree or college diploma in business, marketing or a related program an asset.
