Rainbow Transport Employee’s Inc. (116, 25901 114 Avenue, Acheson, AB) is seeking experienced Class One Long-haul Truck Drivers for a full-time (50 – 60 hours) (permanent) position. There are 3 vacancies for this position.

Drivers can expect to operate within Western Canada throughout BC, AB, SK, YK and NWT. You will be required to maintain your Hours of Service log book, perform vehicle inspections, and safely operate a tractor-trailer combination including LCV (paid training provided). This role has the potential of being out on the road 5-6 days a week.

What we look for:

• Have a minimum of 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Possess a valid Class 1 driving license.
• Be available and able to drive at night or early morning.
• Be prepared to complete training that will include classroom courses, mountain qualification training and long combination vehicle (LCV) qualification training.
• Be proficient in the English language.
• Have less than 5 demerits on their commercial abstract.
• Pass a criminal record search.

Duties

• Operate and drive various tractor-trailer combinations to transport goods (may include dangerous goods)
• Perform pre-trip, enroute and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Tarp and ensuring safety and security of cargo
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
