Position: Specialty foods Chef

Wages: CAD$26.00-36.00/hour (depending on skills and experiences)

Types: Full-time, Permanent

Working hours: 30-40 hours/week

Benefits:  4% of vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Create new recipes
• Plan and instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of foods
• Prepare and cook various authentic Italian foods (authentic pizza, pasta, tramezzino, antipasti), Chef’s special, and other specialty foods
• Plan menus and ensure sushi food meets quality and safety standards
• Demonstrate and train new cooking techniques/equipment to staff
• Supervise activities of cooks and staff
• Requisition food, supplies, equipment
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies

Job Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school;
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in commercial food preparation required.
• Cook’s trade certification an asset
