Employer and Location: Dwight’s Roofing (1762870 Alberta Ltd.) is seeking three experienced full-time roof and shingle installers to complete residential and commercial projects at various locations in the city of Edmonton.

Position and Title: Roofer and Shingler

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time Position

Positions Available: 3

Languages: English

Education: No Degree, Certificate or Diploma

Experience: At least 2 years experience

Area of Specialization: Tiled roofs; Shingle roofs; Skylights

Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Work Site Environment: Dangerous; Outdoors; At heights; Dusty

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks; Handling heavy loads; Physically demanding; Hand-eye co-ordination; Bending, crouching, kneeling, large work-load

Personal Suitability: Team player; excellent oral communication; excellent written communication; client focused; dependable; reliable

Terms of Employment:

  • $27.50 per hour based on experience
  • Full-time 40 hours per week, overtime as required
  • 6% vacation pay

Roofer Specific Skills:

  •  Install, repair or replace shingles, shakes and other roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings
  • Install sheet metal flashings
  • Follow safety procedures to ensure work is complete and according to health & safety regulations

Shingler Specific Skills

  • Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings
