Location: 25 Commerce Road S, Spruce Grove, AB T7X 0G6

Duties and Responsibilities: As per NOC 7511 – Transport truck drivers; Ready-mix truck driver;  Load and unload goods, Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Receive and relay information to central dispatch, Perform preventive maintenance, Mix, pour and spread materials, Ensure products and work methods maximize safety, productivity and comfort

Type of Trucking and Equipment: Concrete mixing

Salary: $27.50 / hour for 30-45 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time    Start Date: As soon as possible

Requirements / Skills:

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Handling heavy loads, Overtime required, Physically demanding

Work Location Information: Various locations

Personal Suitability: Organized, Reliability, Team player, Excellent oral communication

Communication Systems Experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment

Documentation Knowledge: Accident or incident reports, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports

Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):

Driver’s License (Class 3 or D), Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
