A minimum of a Bachelors Degree, plus appropriate designations and/or certifications/training in population and/or public health related to the health system or related area.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Significant experience working with First Nation, Metis and Inuit people and communities. A minimum of 6 years of progressive, diverse healthcare leadership experience in a health care organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. A minimum of 5 years direct experience working with First Nation, Metis and/or Inuit people and communities. A minimum of 5 years in a management and/or related role in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity (health care experience an asset). Progressive leadership experience in a clinical and/or research/evidence-based environment. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Proven abilities in complex problem solving, concerns resolution, investigation, and negotiation. Recognized as an effective leader, within a team environment, with successful experience in strategic human resource management. Practical experience in strategy, policy development, leadership, and project and program management. Knowledge and demonstrated application of business planning, modeling concepts, and program and project management theories, principles and practices. Demonstrated use of strategic thinking, taking into account long-term goals assessing options and implications. Ability to work independently with guidance in only the most complex situations. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines.
A graduate degree in health care management, business administration or related field is desirable. Ability to manage diverse human, financial and physical resources in a changing and multifaceted environment with diverse, complex and sensitive issues. Experience in resource management including planning and budgetary accountability. Significant successful experience in leading and supervising staff within a health care environment.
