Guardium Security Services is currently looking for Human Resource Officer to join our team.

We offer:

  • Hours: 30 – 40 hours per week

Terms of employment:

  • Permanent, Full time
  • Start date: As soon as possible
  • Employment conditions: Morning, Day

Specific Skills:

  • Identify current and prospective staffing requirements
  • Reviewing procedures for employee safety, welfare, wellness and health
  • Planning corporate events and other team-building activities
  • Prepare and post notices and advertisements
  • Collect and screen applicants
  • Updating job requirements when needed
  • Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment
  • Review candidate inventories and interviewing potential applicants on experience, skills, and education
  • Monitoring staff performance and attendance
  • Hiring new employees that accommodate a company’s vision for the future
  • Contact potential applicants to arrange interviews
  • Notify applicants of results of selection process and prepare job offers
  • Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures
  • Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training
  • Organizing and managing new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs
  • Contacting applicants references
  • Maintaining employee records and paperwork
  • Answering employee questions and addressing employee concerns with company
  • Negotiating salaries, contracts, working conditions and redundancy packages with staff
  • Advising on disciplinary and employee performance problems
  • Resolving disagreements between employees that cannot be solved privately
  • Drawing up plans for future personnel hiring procedures and goals
  • Explaining and providing information on employee benefits, programs, and education

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to speak English
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in related field
