We are currently hiring 1 cook for a full-time permanent position.

Wage: $16.50 per hour,  4% of vacation pay, overtime rate is applicable to the wage

Hours of work: 30-40 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Permanent

Work Setting: Restaurant

Area of Specialization: Kitchen

Start Date: Immediately, as soon as possible

Required Education: High School Diploma

Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook complete authentic Japanese dishes and foods on the menu
Follow special instructions for custom orders and allergies
Plan menus, determine the size of food portions that are in line with the current menu, estimate food requirements and costs based on the budget, and monitor and order supplies based on the current inventory and future needs
Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure the workspace is clean and free from potential hazards
Train kitchen helper in preparation, cooking, and handling food
Order supplies and equipment
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
Clean kitchen and work areas
Ensure food quality meets the established standards before serving
Prepare all necessary ingredients for making authentic Japanese dishes
