Job Description:

·        Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods

·        Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies

·        Inspect kitchens and food service areas

·        Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food

·        Order supplies and equipment

·        Supervise kitchen staff and helpers

·        Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

·        Clean kitchen and work areas

·        Manage kitchen operations

·        Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances

Requirements:

– Education: Completion of high school is required

– Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a cook is required. In the event that the candidate does not have 3 years of experience then a post-secondary certificate is required.

-Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, attention to detail

-Personal suitability: Team player, initiative, client focus, dependability, reliability, organized

Salary: $22.00 hourly, 40 hours per week.

Important Information: Employee will work from Wednesday to Sunday. The employee’s work day shall begin at 2 PM and end at 10 PM (including 30 minutes for lunch and 2 healthy breaks of 15 minutes each, all paid). Position requires flexibility in schedule depending on the business’ needs.
