About this event

  • Event lasts 7 hours 30 minutes

Our Annual Interfaith Dialogues have been focused on our responsibility and opportunity to learn from our Indigenous brothers and sisters, and how our scripture encourages us to be gracious neighbours. We are organizing another opportunity to experience the Indigenous Powwow organized by Samson Cree Nation in Maskwacis (formerly Hobema).

Activities will include taking in the Grand Entry, enjoying dances, eating delicious food from the food trucks and visiting with our bleacher neighbours. Please let us know if you and other family or friends are interested in joining, so that we can save a seat on the bus for you.

We will gather at the Al Rashid Mosque parking lot at 10:30 AM on Saturday August 10 to travel one hour to the Bear Park grounds where the Powow is happening. We will stay until 4:30 PM, returning to Edmonton around 6:00 PM. Please bring $10 cash if you need transportation and will be joining us on the bus.
