About the Employer

Responsibilities

Reporting to the President and CEO, you are responsible for academic leadership in the College.  You will champion academic excellence in teaching and learning and the integration of academic and non-academic services to support the whole student, while advancing the broader mission, strategies and goals of Keyano College.  You have executive level responsibility for the delivery of existing programs and for new program initiatives.  As a business partner and member of the Executive leadership team, you are accountable for program leadership in the delivery of all programs offered for credit, non-credit, workforce programming and alternative delivery students.  Exercising executive leadership, you will participate in a variety of committees, maintain inter-institutional linkages and contacts with key personnel in business and industry.

In addition, as the successful candidate you will possess the following:

  • A Masters’ Degree is preferred although an applicable combination of education and experience will be considered
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar public complex organization
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in senior academic leadership
  • A high level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability
  • A strong record of achievement in working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, external planning, and provincial and municipal governments
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to encourage innovation and collaboration are essential to participate in the development and implementation of the vision for the role
  • Successful record in building a team of professional colleagues, and the ability to motivate, develop and nurture a team environment
  • Demonstrated skills in both written and oral communications
