Toast to the reconciliation committee and Amanda Scout and Katie-Jo Rabbit for the update on your progress.

Although I have not noticed it very much yet, it is good to hear that more Indigenous people are getting off-reserve employment as the more they are seen working, the more the old stereotypes are going to start to disappear. It will take time.

Given that all things being equal, Indigenous people have had first dibs on positions in the federal public service for a few decades now and I was quite surprised to find that when I transferred to the post office here 11 years ago that the most desirable postal clerk and letter carrier jobs were all white people with very few exceptions and no Indigenous people that were local hires. I thought that I would mention this in case you were not aware. Try approaching different federal departments and crown corporations and monitor their websites.
