We have 2 vacancies for Long-Haul Truck Drivers. This is Permanent and Full-Time. Business is located at 128 Skyview Shores Road NE, Calgary, Alberta.

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Hard hat, steel-toed safety boots, cellular phone are needed as well as valid passport and medical exam
Must drive: Drive manual transmission vehicle, and have valid driver’s license

Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
Documentation Knowledge:
Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Accident or incident reports, Trip reports, Maintenance and repair reports

Specific Skills:
Load and unload goods, Perform preventive maintenance, Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Perform brake adjustments, Perform emergency roadside repairs, Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption, Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Receive and relay information to central dispatch, Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Short-haul, Long-haul

Type of Trucking and Equipment:
Dry bulk, Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles), Flatbed, Tractor-trailer A train, Refrigerated, Tractor-trailer

Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Credentials: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
