We are now accepting applications for the following positions with the Blood Tribe Safe Home & Assessment Center.

Finance Clerk – Treasury/Finance Department:

One (1) Position Term: 1 year Contract Competition # 112118FC-T

Position Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Staff Accountant 1, and under the guidance of the values of Kainayssini, The Finance Clerk will be responsible for entering financial data into the accounting system and providing support to Staff Accountants for all types of payments, deposits, billing and financial reporting.

Duties: Entering purchase orders, cheque requisitions and invoices on a daily basis and preparing cheque runs on a weekly basis. Bookkeeping duties include preparing bank reconciliations, entering budgets, entering journal entries into the general ledger, preparing reports and other data entry and bookkeeping duties. Additional duties may be required related to the Payroll, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, and/or as assigned by the Finance Supervisor and or Finance Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) Year Diploma in Business Administration with related experience
  • Knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Working knowledge of the ACCPAC Plus
  • Working knowledge of the Blackfoot language is essential
  • Must possess excellent writing and oral communication skills

All positions must be willing to work in a team environment; Must possess a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation; Undergo a Criminal Record Check and an Intervention Services Information System (ISIS). Confidentiality is a necessity.
