We are now accepting applications for the following positions with the Blood Tribe Safe Home & Assessment Center.

CHILD CARE WORKER: Blood Tribe Safe Home & Assessment Centre
Three (3) Positions (Day):
One (1) Position (Night): Term: F/T

Position Summary: Under the direction of the Supervisor of the Blood Tribe Safe Home and Assessment Centre, the Child Care Worker will work in a team setting to provide a safe nurturing environment for our children.

  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home tend to emotional well being of children.
  • Responsible to provide and implement structured activities.
  • Responsible for effective liaison with involved professionals as well as significant family members.
  • Attend regular staff meetings; maintain daily reporting writing i.e. daily logs intake reports.

Qualifications: Child and Youth Care or Human Services Certificate, Diploma, or Degree and/or two years related work experience.

  • Proficient use of various computers and software;
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • CPR/First Aid Certification,
  • Knowledge of the Blackfoot language/Culture an asset.
  • General cooking, cleaning and maintenance when required.
  • Ability to work shift work (Nights/Weekends).

All positions must be willing to work in a team environment; Must possess a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation; Undergo a Criminal Record Check and an Intervention Services Information System (ISIS). Confidentiality is a necessity.
